M Week

Sorry I'm a little slow getting this post up.

For M week, we made:

Played with the Marble Maze

Marched with Musical instruments, and

Played Musical Chairs (this is even more fun when no one gets eliminated)

Welcome!

Welcome to preschool. What a great first week we had. It has been fun getting to know the children. We've been learning the classroom routine and class rules. We've read stories, practiced writing our names, colored, and much more. Here they are hard at play - learning to share and take turns. Remember, play is the work of children.

Congratulations Graduates!

Can you believe the year is already over. What a great time we had. I am truly going to miss this delightful group of children. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of their lives!

And how to cut and paint and glue.

We learned to write and dance and sing,

But playing was our favorite thing.

Hoppy Easter

Here we are dying Easter eggs and holding our cute bunny bags - that are filled with easter treats we found. Have a great spring break!

Music

The kids are great musicians. We played our classroom instuments, had a bell orchestra (reading colored notes to make a song) and made our own instruments. The kids could choose drums, tambourines, guitars, harps, maracas, etc. They all chose "stringed" instruments :)

Our Healthy Bodies

We learned all about the parts of our body that are on the inside - heart, lungs, brain, stomach, bones, and muscles.





We also enjoyed playing doctor and nurse and fixing up the dolls, teddy bears, and each other.

Shapes

We did so many fun things with shapes. We made circle shaped bubbles. We built towers with square nesting boxes. We used magnets and marbles to make triangles. We stamped circle shapes with all sorts of circular object. We made shape faces. A few of our adventures are pictured here.
