Long overdue update

Wow I have been neglectful. Here's a very long update for the last few months. This week, we are cooking. The kids are great helpers in the kitchen. Today we made pretzel letters and chef hats.During Space Week, we made astronaut directed drawings. This is great exercise in following directions, but they still always turn out with so much personality.For St. Patrick's Day, we followed clues left by a leprechaun that led us to his gold. We painted rainbows and made leprechaun masks.Here are a couple of the great dinosaur pictures! What terrific drawings.

F is for Frog

What a hopping good time we've had this week. We learned the life cycle of the frog, made frog hats, and learned about the letter "F". We've done more counting and patterning practice. We also painted turtles.

Z is for Zoo

This week we learned about many animals. We practiced our counting and sorting, and played memory.
We made zipper rubbings and zebras.
We had a stuffed animal zoo and animal masks.

Welcome to preschool. What a great first week we had. It has been fun getting to know the children. We've been learning the classroom routine and class rules. We've read stories, practiced writing our names, colored, and much more. Here they are hard at play - learning to share and take turns. Remember, play is the work of children.
